We seek an experienced Head of Content to lead the development and execution of our content strategy across the SEA market. The successful candidate will oversee the creation, distribution, and management of all content on our platform. They will also work closely with our SEO, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure that our content supports our business objectives (Page Views, Direct Revenue, Acquiring Rank 1 Position for keywords) and enhances the user experience.
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the successful applicant will:
- Manage & deliver results from a team of Editors, Writers & Freelancers across the SEA Market
- Establishing workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content
- Measure Audience Insights & trends, improving the content creation process based on collected data points to meet business objectives
- Develop Data Analytics funnel for Content Performance tracking across multiple channels and content categories.
- Develop and enforce content standards and guidelines to ensure that our content is consistent, high-quality, and compliant with applicable local laws and regulations.
- Develop a strategy to create high-quality evergreen content to acquire Rank 1 Position for high-priority keywords
- Ensure the team member achieves high content output utilizing AI tools to improve team productivity
- Work closely with the SEO Team to identify high-priority keywords
- To train a team of editors and writers on best practices to improve ranking on the SERP
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and topics in the industry. Use social listening tools and data analysis to identify the most popular and relevant topics.
- Brainstorm and develop creative and engaging content ideas that should be shareable, unique, and able to capture the attention of your target audience.
- Work with the social media team to ensure that the content is designed to engage and resonate with the audience & drive maximum website traffic.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging content trends, technologies, and platforms, and incorporate them into our content strategy as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
- Fluent in English language (reading/writing/speaking)
- Fluency in other languages including Indonesia Bahasa, Thai Language, Vietnamese, or Malay is plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in content strategy, creation, and management, preferably in a tech or social media company
- In-depth knowledge of Content Optimization and SEO
- Sufficient knowledge of social media content policies and guidelines (including Facebook Instant Articles)
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies that drive business results and enhance the user experience.
